There are a lot of ways to help the troubled teens. Discipline through facilities such as behavior modification schools, boot camps, boarding schools, group homes, troubled youth programs and wilderness camps is one option. Therapy through counseling is another choice. These facilities offer several key components to help them deal with their issues and they include academics, reinforcement of appropriate behavior, family involvement, and personal and emotional development.

Behavior modification schools are ideal for those who show social and emotional problems in their behavior. They follow behavioral management programs along with regular academic curriculum. They can also design programs that match the teens? individual problems.

Boot camps are facilities that use a military style setting, military exercises, and rigorous physical training. Unluckily, most of these schools do not deal with the underlying emotional or behavioral problems. Without therapy or behavior modification, long-term effectiveness is usually quite limited. At these camps, students learn how to deal better with authoritative figures and accept authority.

Boarding schools include some of the characteristics of behavior modification schools and military schools. These have highly planned facilities to help youth struggling with serious problems and who require round-the-clock supervision. An average stay of three to six months, or even a year or more, may guarantee a lifelong change in behavior.

Homes for troubled teens are residential facilities with expert staff that monitor each troubled teen closely and provide therapy in addition to academic curriculums, exercise and personal development. They generally have a high success rate in comparison to other programs. But, the major disadvantage is usually the cost.

Wilderness camps, an alternative to boot camps, take the teens on camping trips like a vacation. Instead of boot camps? aggressive approach, these camps are more likely to be behavior modification programs. Here, teens are taught survival skills and receive counseling from the managerial staff who accompany them on the trip. Since they are away from urban distractions, troubled teens can reconnect and accept responsibility for their preferences. The camps are generally held in summer, so they may not include an academic module.

Each of this facility has a different philosophy toward treatment and methods to achieve results. A little research is needed, and whenever possible, take the time to visit these facilities and meet the staff to make sure that it's a good solution for your disturbed teen.

We should make these tricky boards to the kids and let them have fun? Have them test them out and then make them even better. I think I really enjoyed the movie "Back to the Future" with Michael J. Fox and Biff and perhaps you did too. And the skateboards have been a fascination ever sense, of course all young boys of my age grew up with the first skateboards. Catamaran'ing down steep streets, doing switch back maneuvers and it was simply part of being growing up.

In the first committee meeting for the report our team identified several potential emerging technologies that should be integrated into the hoverboard;

1.) How about a set of tap push button controls to put up the landing gear, make it a hover board? 3 in the green and away they go hover board style?

2.) Voice Activated WiFi, iPod, VoIP, cell phone and IM. (already have surfboards with wifi, cell phones)

3.) Holographic Image display project in front of the board so the rider can match it while flying thru the air to insure a perfect maneuver?

4.) All run by LED lights which are charging as each bump in the side walk jars tiny components, like a shake-able flash light.

5.) We can make the board invisible using MITs new light bending stuff? Change colors?

6.) Use Mind Control to send commands to the hoverboard via (individual mind-mapping fMRI sequence generator).

7.) The Hover Board/Skate Board/ Wave Rider could be used in any gravity displacement too. Earth, Mars, Moon. "The Lunar Board" or something? Matching agility to human ability, the next step in the evolution of fun!

8.) Interactive Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality living room video game with skateboard, no worries when weather is bad.

9.) Couple it with eLearning initiatives; make it fun to learn while riding a skateboard. Learn physics while skateboarding, it's all physics anyway.

10.) Interactive skate parks and indoor recreational facilities of the future.

All this technology already exists NOW and it is only a matter of cost, weight and size. Remember Moore's law for electronics. We are seeing this now with UAVs to MAVs to the size of insects. It is all doable only a matter of imagination and will, funding and ROI. Actually, it's all almost here the way I see it. And so the journey begins; the skateboard of the future will fly, and it will fly like nothing else.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles or UAVs are getting better every year and the sensors and cameras are getting more robust, smaller and lighter too. This means that soon they will have eyes better than Eagles and be able to send those images 100s if not 1000s of miles in a split-seconds time.

Well this is great if you are fighting terrorism, flying thru a Hurricane, monitoring volcanoes or Arctic ice. Now they want to sue, because their privacy is being violated? Yes, now you heard it all right? But are these UAVs actually able to take a crisp digital picture of someone sunbathing nude in their backyard? Apparently so.

When I first looked into this ridiculous story, I thought someone from our think tank was pulling my leg or saw it in the National Inquirer; turns out they were right and the whole issues is going to end up in Federal Court soon.

Well, before I get all the naked women and nudist colonies in a tizzy, I thought you might like to know that the authorities have no intention on putting your toushy buns on TV. I hope this article might propel thought into 2007.

Massage therapists often have an inherent resistance to selling themselves. If you find yourself reading this article: Congratulations! And just so you know, you are not selling out. You are providing a communications platform so that those who need your services can actually find you. That is a service in itself.

There is a logical principle that if you solve a clients problem better than your competition, under the same conditions (price, availability etc.) and communicate this to your potential clients, success (however you define this for yourself) is unavoidable. This simple statement opens up a whole drawer of possibilities of refining your communications practice to attract more of what you want.

Define problem?

What many do not realize is that it is not the product or service that the client desires, but rather the feeling, emotion and sensation that ensues when their problem is solved or improved. This should be the result of using the product or experiencing the service. A clients problem is not finding a massage therapist. The clients problem is that they are not feeling the way they would like to. And you might have the solution to that problem.

Here are some examples so you get the gist:
Starbucks does not sell coffee, they sell a community meeting place.
Mercedes does not sell cars, they offer status symbols.
Gatorade quenches thirst.

What is your solution?

Anticipating client problems, associating them with a demographic profile and offering a solution is essential to being able to address them successfully and critical to attracting that client group.

Every demographic has there own common set of problems. Yes, everyone is different, but based on commonalities such as age, profession, location and other keys we find that certain groups have similar needs. We often can define groups based on age, income, mobility, education, employment status, and even location.

Some examples of the more obvious groups are:
Seniors
Business people
Traveling business people
Pregnant women
Athletes

Some examples of the less obvious are:
People with fibromyalgia
Children with Down syndrome
Runners
Bikers
Shoppers
Young parents
Bereaved parents
Business leaders
Chemically sensitive
Hospice care
Cancer survivors

What does this mean for your practice?

When you define your product or service, think about what you really provide. You may not always be able to directly call it by its name, but you should try to get as close to describing it as possible.

And then think about whom you can really relate too. Often this is based on your own life experiences during which you developed a deep understanding of a situation and are relaxed about it. Its important that you can relate without judgment to others experiencing the same situation and dealing with these people will not pose a difficult situation for you. The area where you can develop a deep rapport, is where you will likely be most successful.

The more accurately you can define your solution to an existing problem, the easier it is to communicate with your target market. Does that make sense? If you know that you are catering to senior citizens, it is easier to find out where the congregate, which publications they read and what other forms of communication they tend to prefer. It is also much easier to formulate the solution(s) you offer.

The question is always: How can I improve the clients experience in their current state by guiding them to a future state in which they have a better experience of themselves.

The next question is: How can I convey this information to them?

While there are many details that can be refined in this process it is important to return to the original thought of: What problem am I solving here. I find that there are primary issues and secondary issues and sometimes even a third or fourth layer that offer opportunities to provide a unique service.

Let me provide an example. Most likely the primary reason your client is showing up (for the first time) is that they have a PAIN in their... Probably one of the main reasons is that they have not spent the time to RELAX and by booking a massage they are giving themselves permission to do so. Maybe underneath all that is that they find themselves in a situation that will not allow them to take TIME AWAY from the circumstances and by visiting you they are doing so.

While the primary issue is often addressed by many: example: relieve your pain with massage therapy, secondary and tertiary layers often go unmentioned.

For example: Get immediate relief from your migraine headache, relax deeply and give yourself the time out you deserve.

Now, if your communication says (and this is a real example):

[Name Removed] Massage Therapy is one of the more experienced massage practices in Los Angeles (located in North End, LA). I draw from 23 years of experience in healing work and massage therapy and a strong, intuitive, compassionate, and uniquely healing touch. I am versed in Swedish, Sports Massage, Deep Tissue, On-site Chair Massage, and Energy Healing.

This statement not only requires the client to figure out on their own what the benefits are, but also leaves everything open to interpretation.

Would it not be better to say the following?: If you are looking for someone who will really listen to you and knows how sensitive you are, can alleviate the little aches and pains with comforting touch and send you off feeling like a new person, your should call ... for a free consultation.

I am tired of all the claims of EASY money being made on the internet. Let me clarify something from the very beginning - nothing is easy. Creating wealth online and offline takes a lot of hard work and dedication. There are no easy ways to true wealth. Not on Wall Street, Main Street, or Cyber Street. Wall Street is never easy - watching Mad Money on CNBC will not make you rich. Doing the homework on what Cramer yipes about can help you pick winners, but the reason Cramer gives so many stocks on his 1 hour show is the same reason when I was a broker I called every 10 clients with a different stock. 1 out of 10 will hit for you... PERIOD. That means the other 9 are losing you money... so 10% of the time you are on the right side. Not good odds, but good enough to have those 10% calling Cramer a GURU!

Main Street is harder than ever. The big retailers are killing mom & pop stores everywhere. I despise Wal-Mart & never shop there. It kills me that people in our country are not smart enough to see that we are giving away so many jobs overseas so Wal-Mart can save you money on the goods you buy. The long-term ramifications of this are scary. I could spend hours on this subject, but let's just say I do not see Main Street as a great alternative these days to making real wealth, unless you are investing in Real Estate!

Let's focus in on the cyber world. I am tired of hearing "sit back & plug in this system to make $1000's per day". That is simply a lie. It is not a scam, but a lie. There are several awesome programs out here that can make you money, but you need to know how to advertise. Ezines, solo-ads, pay per click, blogging, and many other options are the way you generate traffic. Knowing exactly how to create traffic is an art form, and I am proud to say I have mastered it in a very short time.

I have had success in the 4 programs I have purchased online - but it was not as easy as it was presented to me. Each claimed buy this & you will make big money. Well big money to me may be completely different to big money to the next person. I have found that good money can be made if you know how to advertise. Through trial and error & the help of a true guru, I have the tools to generate traffic that creates income for me. Income that is secondary for the time being, especially since my full-time gig pays me well over $100k per year.

I have been in my latest opportunity 4 weeks & I have read so many articles about it being a scam. News Flash - it is not. IF you know how to work the program and how to bring targeted buyers to it, you make money. If you have no idea how to do anything on the internet, the good news is you can learn & earn. If you think you can buy something & it will just create cash for you out of thin air, then another news flash - NO CHANCE & YOU WILL CALL IT A SCAM!

How many of us have hoped to get something for nothing and had to pay shipping and handling? And reading the fine print, you find taxes and tips are your responsibility.

If it is supposed to be free then you should pay nothing, zip, zero, nada, right.

Well how many times have you seen something advertised for free, then the small print says with purchase only. Plus the purchase has to be over a certain amount. These are the ones that I remember and there have been lots and lots of on-line and off line coupons for different things ranging from soup to vacations in the Islands. If there are any promotional people out there that want a family to try products we usually do that too.

Crystal meth, or ice as its called, is three times as addictive as cocaine. It is known to cause psychosis, a kind of mind-scrambling that leaves its victims unable to control themselves. Long-term abuse of crystal meth compromises the body's immune system and sends the body into a debilitating decline that can lead to death, or little more than a vegetative state. To recover mental and physical health after sustained crystal meth abuse, a dedicated, specific drug detox and drug rehab program needs to include a carefully balanced and tailored diet as well as expert counseling and long-term support.

Symptoms of crystal meth abuse can include impaired judgment, co-ordination and reflexes, heart palpitations, blurred vision, extended wakefulness, and damage to the brain, lungs and liver. Looking to refinance your mortgage? Well stop, dont rush; there are a few things you should consider before refinancing. With mortgage rates at an all-time low, refinancing can save you thousands of dollars. However, if you rush into a new rate without negotiate for the best deal or you dont understanding all the details of your new mortgage you could end up losing money.

Is Refinancing Right For You?

A general rule is that refinancing becomes while if the current interest rate on your mortgage is at least two percent higher than the prevailing market rate. However, depending on your loan amount, you might choose to refinance a loan that is only one-point-five percentage points higher then the current rate.

When choosing to refinance, consider is how long you plan to stay in your house? Depending on your credit score, the process of cleaning up your credit can be as easy as reporting errors on your credit report or as complex as hiring a professional credit counselor to get your finances in order. If your credit problems cannot be fixed quickly you will almost certainly have to pay more than borrowers who have a good credit history. Yet, don't assume that the only way to get credit is to pay a high price. Ask how your past credit history affects the price of your loan and what you would need to do to get a better price.

Don't assume that minor credit problems or difficulties stemming from unique circumstances will limit your loan choices to only high-cost lenders. No matter what your credit score, remember the key to finding the best deal or rate is to shop, compare, and negotiate.
