Now I will tell you some thing about myself. I am a professional Doctor and I work in a Private hospital (a big one). My salary is about $4000 a month but I wanted to earn more. First of all, I was not doing few very basic things which were very important to be done. Secondly, I was offering to do work for very high rates. So for the first problem, I found an Online Jobs guide which helped me understand what I had to do at the freelancing site. The guide explained everything about how to get work at these sites. I solved the second problem by just lowering the rates that I was offering, actually I lowered the rates a little too much and that is why I started to get work.

The basic concept of freelancing sites is that a buyer (who wants some work to be done) open up a Project offering a job to any freelancer who is interested. All these projects appear on the site. Now freelancers who can do this project read it and then place a bid on the project if they are interested in doing it. So there are many freelancers bidding on the same project. There are few factors that play an important role for the buyer or the creator of the project to choose the winning bidder. Here are few of them:

1.Buyers communicate with all or maybe few of the bidders via communication system in the site. By such communication, buyers try to judge the abilities of the freelancer and they try to figure out whether or not, the particular freelancer is suitable for the Job. A high percentage of buyers choose a freelancer based on the communication results, so this factor is very important one.

2.All freelancers have a Rating or feedback. This is the Rank given by the buyers on the site to the freelancers who had worked for them. This means, when ever a buyer chooses a freelancer and the freelancer completes the work for which the buyer hired him; after the completion the buyer pays the freelancer and then give a feedback to the freelancer. For example, if the buyer is very happy with the work that the freelancer did, then it is possible that the buyer will give 10 out of 10. Or in opposite case a 1 out of 10. When freelancers place a bid on a project, the buyer, and every one else too, can see the ratings of all the freelancers who placed the bid. So the buyer can make a decision on the fact that which freelancer has the best ratings.

3.The third but the most important factor of all is the amount of money that you are placing in your bid for a particular project. For example, suppose there is a project with a budget range of $100-$300, and there are 10 freelancers that have placed bids on this project. A freelancer with 50 ratings, and all ratings are 10 out of 10, has placed a maximum bid of $300 and all others have placed some amount above $100. All other freelancers placed a bid above $100. You are new at this site and you have no ratings, what will you do? How much amount you will put in your bid? $300 or $100? Of course $100, which is the minimum. This is the only way to get this project. You cant get it if you place a bid of $300, No way, its impossible.

So when I started the work I was not doing anything mentioned above and that is the reason why I never got any project until I realized that some thing is wrong. So, the factor 1 and 3 are important for all the new bees. For the factor 2, the new bees cant do any thing as you will only get ratings when you will complete any project.

In few days, I got my first project. Actually it was only a 40 dollars project, but you cant believe how happy I was when I got it. I completed it in a day during the free time I got at the hospital. I received my first payment and most importantly I got my first rating which was 10 out of 10.

After that, things went on nice for few days, by the time when I got my 10th rating; I was making $500 in a month which is not very bad. But I had a feeling that some thing is missing or something that can make things easier for me. Actually, for the $500 that I was making in a month, I was working too hard and doing 2 jobs at the same time, its a bit difficult. So I started to think of any solution that can make things easier. Then one day, I read an Online Jobs guide that made things much easier for me. And now I am making $1000 a month and I dont have to do the hard work, I just do work for no more than an hour and I get my $1000 each month. All you need if a little experience and when you get it, everything goes easier for you.

There are many jobs that person can do. There are software testing jobs, programming jobs, making websites, promoting websites and much more but the two jobs that every body can do are Copywriting and Data entry (Data entry; Do it only to get some ratings). He must tactfully involve the younger team members with the older and more experienced faculty so that both benefit by each others merits.

When decisions become controversial among themselves it may well be delayed by a day. History stands witness to the fact that haste makes waste. No man thinks the same every day. Tactful handling of situation is seen in nation building where one small law passed wrongly or one % of the tax imposed can cause huge financial or economic losses to the nation.

Truth stands out as promises and lies can be more devastating than ever believed. Practice of clean business practices can help safe progress and keeps all in the organisation highly motivated.

Have you considered joining a Think Tank? The reason I ask this is that I have been noticing that there are a significant number of highly intellectual people out there. Indeed, these folks should be using their brain power to solve problems and the challenges that face mankind. Our online Think Tank or Brain Trust gets a tremendous number of applications and yet there is something that has been bothering me about these applications.

More and more people are not capitalizing "I" in their sentences so if you apply to a Think Tank, any Think Tank, can you please capitalize "I" because on a personal note, anyone with low self-esteem or lacking strength of character is no one I ever care to associate with. I also believe others will consider your ideas and concepts less if you do not properly capitalize "I" in your sentences.

Now it is fully understood that this is a new trend amongst younger folks as to not appear to be conceited, and yet, it does not do well for your presentation. Many academics call it pathetic, although I am not an English teacher, nor ever care to be, I am concerned. It puts up huge "red flags" for me when I see this. It is not proper to allow someone who thinks so little of themselves not to capitalize "I" because if you do not think much of yourself, well what does that say about your ideas?

There is nothing wrong with "Self" and those who think that they, as an individual, do not matter fail to understand that the strongest civilization or society is one where each individual is strongest. Weakness, bureaucracy and laziness maybe perhaps the true evil in the world, do not add those to your problem of procrastination, after all you have considered joining a Think Tank, and yet have never applied.

Be only the best, work for only the best and expect only the best. Think about it, not to harp on the "I" thing much, but what difference does IQ make if you do not respect your own intelligence or self? This is not the Borg, live strong, why waste such a life experience degrading self, this is not a contest to please anyone and a think tank is a place to prevent and/or solve problem, not create them using committees drowned in political correctness.

Now with that said, let's discuss some of the topics we discussed this week in our Think Tank and perhaps this will pique your curiosity and be of interest to you:

1. Hong Kong and Their Next Big Earthquake Cometh - Much of Hong Kong is built on a landfill, so god help them when a big Earthquake comes and well, history shows that it will. Shifting foundations are the worst nightmare for those who live under Earthquake Faults. If China re-acquires that region and then a major catastrophe hits, then what?

2. "Supreme Court Justice Roberts Taken to Hospital After Fall" Did anyone notice that when the SUV left the hospital, that whoever was driving Roberts, failed to stop at the stop sign leaving the Hospital Parking Lot? Now, I am a Republican, but, why is it that those in leadership positions and those they associate with continually think this is acceptable behavior and that they are above the law? Hmm? We would like to know, so tell what are your thoughts on this matter.

3. Where Online Thoughts Are Not Your Own Anymore - for those who Blog and put out thoughts to the world one has to ask why they often complain that others have borrowed their ideas or concepts and/or stolen them. If you put your thoughts out to the world in such a way are they really yours anymore? Why attempt to claim them once you have freely given them out.

4. Osama and Obama - Both Lose Ground to Grounded Americans. Al Qaeda is on the run and Obama is losing ground to Hillary Clinton's political machine fast, even with the huge campaign fund war chest of dollars. Is the Democratic Ticket for President already wrapped up; many political analysts think so. As for Al Qaeda, are they losing public appeal also? Some say yes and others decline to comment, you decide.

5. Human Infrastructure crumbling, bridges in the US and China, Roller Coasters in Japan? This came in from: Japan Today Article July 31, 2007 - "Flaws Found in 59 Roller Coasters - The transport ministry said Tuesday it has found flaws in 59 roller coasters and similar rides in 47 amusement parks nationwide through an emergency survey of 2,265 such rides. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport has yet to ..."

6. Would you like to talk with someone who had an IQ of 180 or 180+? If so, you might be surprised to find that not all these folks are so interesting to talk to, some cannot do much, lost in thought, only a few Geniuses actually exist, IQ tests can be practiced and one can bump their IQ, thru studying tests, which should not impress you. Creative Geniuses and imminent achievers are much more than a simple IQ number. Am I 180 IQ? Extremely doubtful, never been tested, although I can hold my own with anyone I have ever met, so who knows what that means, probably nothing.

Some say that human IQ cannot be measured with a single score is this true? Well, that is part of the debate, along with some points in which defenders of IQ say that the tests show that there is a relatively unitary intelligence. IQ tests specifically have been designed to measure intelligence and IQ scores have been pitted against actual academic performance and accurately align and we do not completely understand what brain activity is responsible for intelligence, thus these IQ scores are worthy of mention to equate an individuals abilities.

Unfortunately, IQ scores have little to do with success in life beyond academics, different cultures have different nurturing and therefore IQ tests may indicate errors. Further, there is some interesting evidence and much research that a distinct neurological organization of an individuals mind will determine how they place in anyone one of the 7-8 different types of intelligences.

Personally, I believe that winning, achieving and success are far more important than pure IQ and those who are the most successful have chemical flows in their brains that allow them to do much better if they apply themselves and perseverance is another one of those wild cards, which I wouldn't leave home without.

When you join a Think Tank you just never know what the topics might be, they vary significantly from day to day. I hope this glimpse into the life of a Think Tanker finds you with more thoughts to ponder and helps you decide if you are right or ripe to join in. Think on it.

Its real tough to keep a business going without sales. Sales is the fuel and the engine that enables the vehicle to run.

Entrepreneurs have been known to successfully create a pent-up sales demand for their product before the business is actually ready to fulfill. But I dont know of any business that has been able to successfully stick around, ready to fulfill, without sales.

Jordache is a great case in point. The owners spent time and money creating a persona for the company. They ran their ads, implanted their image in the consumers minds and actually had folks going to stores salivating to buy their jeans long before the jeans were delivered. In fact, even before the jeans were mass-produced. The built-up sales demand made for great sales figures once their product hit the shelves. This works quite well, especially in retail, at least for a while. However, the human factor ultimately holds the key to success.

I recently spoke with the CEO of a product manufacturing company. He confessed that when he was involved in the engineering side of his business, before he became the head of his company, everyone in his division used to complain about the sales force. The common problem, at least to them, was that salespeople would say and do almost anything to get a sale. Deadlines, almost impossible designs and promises, were meaningless to the sales force. Getting sales was the goal. Or in his case, somewhat like Jordache, selling a product before it was actually produced. This made those who had to fulfill the promises, designs and deadlines, the engineering department for example, furious.

As luck would have it the need for more salespeople hit a critical point and our friend, who became CEO, took the challenge. Out he went, in his new capacity, as a salesperson. What an eye-opener he confided. I found myself doing whatever it took to close a sale. He continued, I started building relationships with my prospects and strengthening those with my existing clients. I realized, that if I didnt get sales there wouldnt be anything for the engineers to complain about because wed be out of business eventually!

So what is sales? Positioning? Marketing? Promotions? Advertising? Public Relations? Obviously, all of the above are part of the mix because they help create the desire for a companys product or service. But ultimately its the customer/salesperson (or customer service representative) interface that is the most important element in closing the sale.

Think about all the advertising, marketing, public relations and promotion money spent by companies to get people interested in their products. So much of it is great. It gets the consumer (whether B to C or B to B) ready to buy. Then D-day arrives and the customer meets or speaks with the salesperson.

All that money spent to lure people to your product or service and too often the ball is dropped by the salesperson (or lack thereof). The company forgot to spend money, and/or time training the salesperson on how to sell. Sure companies teach or perhaps show would be the proper terminology, their salespeople about the features and benefits of their product but they forget to train them on the techniques of dealing with people.

You may want to buy those Jordache jeans but if you cant find a sales person to help you or worse, the salespersons rude or thinks his or her phone conversation is more important then taking care of youwell I guess Ill go back and get those Levis or Guess Jeans and thats the end of the story.

Relationship building is really what its all about. Making sure the customer knows youre concerned about their needs. Its amazing when you think about how many companies were built on relationships and how many of them saw their demise when they forgot that their relationship with their customers was what it was all about.

Of course, quality and dependability are also of utmost importance. You can have a great rapport with your customers but if your product or service is lacking, then all the listening, dinners, cards, great delivery times, golf outings and ball games will be for naught. Ford is a perfect example.

What caused their current problems? Not keeping up with quality, which included design, and inadequate response time to problems with their SUVs and the tires that they came equipped with to name a few. Ultimately, they breached the trust with their customers and subsequently damaged their relationship with them.

You may have loved the salesperson, you may only buy Fords, but you werent going to buy that SUV with those tires no matter what he or she told you. So the packaging, positioning, marketing, even the relationships can only take you so far. But if everything is equal youll always go back to the folks who really took care of you and you trust. Its that old sales axiom, People buy from people they like. Oh how true.

When you are budgeting time, money and other resources to sell your products and or services make certain that you leave a substantial portion for the education of your sales force, including yourself. And dont fall into the mindset of As long as they know what the product or service is all about, they should be able to sell it, thats only part of the knowledge needed to be successful.

Sales people must learn how to interact with clients, find their needs, wants, desires, distresses, and they have to show concern for customers, which means a large dose of listening. Customer care brings customer loyalty, something thats hard to come by in this day and age.

I recently purchased and anti-virus program for my computer, shortly after installing it I ran into a problem that needed immediate attention. I called their customer service line only to find a maze of options, frustration, a message that directed me to their website for help and that all too common if you would like to speak with a customer service representative for a fee of $2.95 per minute, please hit.

Customer care, I think not. Will I ever buy from that software manufacturer again? Never, I dont trust them. Would I recommend them to friends or acquaintances? Not if I want to keep or build a relationship with those individuals. Hey, I may want to speak with them about doing business with me someday!

Teach your sales force how to really take care of your customers, set up your company so that it reinforces that philosophy, never get complacent in meeting your customers needs and your customers will help you close the sales to them that youve always wanted.

Studies have consistently shown that taking fish oil supplements on a daily basis is a highly effective and efficient way of getting enough Omega 3 fatty acids in our diet to make a positive difference to our health, but what are the potential risks of any side effects?

Fortunately, side effects are rare and when taken in the correct dosage most people experience little if any side effects at all, but as with any supplement, there is always the possibility of experiencing some symptoms and fish oil is no different. So what should we be looking out for?

Fishy burps

By far the most common side effects reported are fishy burps, fishy breath or a fishy aftertaste in the mouth. This is completely harmless albeit slightly unpleasant but can largely be avoided by keeping your fish oil in the fridge and taking the fish oil along with food.

Stomach upsets

Some people have experienced other gastrointestinal side effects such as diarrhoea, indigestion, abdominal bloating, heartburn, mild stomach cramps and perhaps slight feelings of nausea but again, these side effects can be reduced or eliminated by taking the fish oil along with meals and by taking a lower dose to begin with and then gradually increasing it over a few weeks.

Increased risk of bleeding

The fatty acids in fish oil have an anticoagulant (blood thinning) effect which in most cases is a good thing, however, when fish oil is taken in particularly large doses or alongside other blood thinning agents, there is an increased risk of bleeding which can take the form of easy bruising or nosebleeds or longer bleeding times. Serious side effects are extremely rare but it is important that anyone who is already taking Aspirin, Warfarin (also known under the brand names Coumadin, Jantoven, Marevan and Waran) or any other blood thinning drugs should discuss the potential risks with their doctor before taking any fish oil supplements.

Mercury poisoning

A major worry with eating fresh fish is the amount of mercury and other toxins they can contain. Sadly, our seas are polluted and consequently so are our fish and so any toxins in the fish can also find their way into fish oil supplements unless the fish oil has had these contaminants removed. I have lost count of the occasions where I have happened to just settle into a swim, when so many were available, and proceed to hook an incredible catch, while other people fail even to get a bite.
