I love to cook and am addicted to cooking shows. Many cooking shows emhasize the well-stocked pantry, but only a few emphasize the healthy pantry, a pantry stocked with low-salt, low-fat foods. Though the contents of my pantry varies with the season, I always have healthy foods on hand. I keep these foods in mind when planning meals. The foods are grouped in categories and I have labeled the shelves. What is in my pantry?

Having a healthy pantry helps me to prepare healthy meals. To make meals even healthier I buy seasonal fruits and vegetables. I have told you what is in my pantry. What is in yours? I have long felt that all Americans should be able to own and utilize Defensive Weapons. Now while I consider that a right that we have, I also feel that it is a right that we should forfeit, should we be found guilty in a court of law, of crimes against our fellow man. To do other than that means that only the bad guys, those whose intent is opposing the laws of the country, will have weaponsand few of them will choose Defensive Weapons, or weapons of less than lethal strength.

Tony Stewart to watch out for Fayette speeders

Stewart started his training last week by with the usual checklist for aspiring officers. He came in last night and qualified with his weapon and got Taser-certified, Ingle said. That required Stewart to fire a weapon with a certain degree of accuracy under the supervision of a firearms instructor. Then he got shocked with a Taser.

Yes, that is Tony Stewart of Nascar fame, wanting to assist his community by volunteering as a Sheriffs Department Volunteer Officer. And as part of his training, he gets the shocking end of a Taser. Now that may sound weird to some, but anybody that has served in the military is likely familiar with CBR warfare training (Chemical, Biological, Radiological) and the dreaded tear gas chamber.

Dreadedyes, I was very uncomfortable in the tear gas chamber. It burns, it hurts, it makes you cry just like the name implies. So my question is this. If we can put our military personnel through this experience, if we can put our police and sheriff trainees through this experiencethen why cant we unleash these same non-lethal forces on somebody who is attacking us? Thankfully in most states we can. Indeed it is legal in all 50 states. BUT, some states and local jurisdictions impose restrictions on these products. Here are a few of the known restrictions.

Wisconsin - Wisconsin requires a formulation that does not include UV dye.

Michigan - Michigan requires specific pepper or tear gas formulas be used.

New York - New York requires you visit a New York state licensed firearm dealer or pharmacist to make your purchase

Massachusetts - Massachusetts requires you have a Firearms Identification Card (FID)

Hmm, let me editorialize a little bit on those.

It would seem that Wisconsin is afraid of being able to identify the perpetrator.

Michigan wants to reformulate non-lethal gaseswhat? Do them want to make them Lethal?

New York wants to limit sales to firearm dealers or pharmacists? I guess you may as well visit the Firearms dealer and buy a real weapon!!

And the same for Massachusetts. If you are going to jump through enough hoops to get a Firearms ID cardthen pack a Colt 45!!

But the ultimate question is this. Do the bad guys pay any attention to these restrictions?

Heck NO!! Its just the good guys that may have their hands tied. But as a good rule of thumb CHECK WITH YOUR LOCAL POLICE DEPARTMENT. Local jurisdictional issues can definitely change the rules, especially if you are considering Taser type equipment.

I found that interesting, and commendable. They were facing down a man who had evaded arrest, and came out of his car carrying a gunpointed at his own head. So the police fired beanbags out of shotguns, to take him down. Great defensive weaponalthough a little hard to tote when you are jogging, or in your purse. But you have to assume that some other officers had a bead on him with lethal weapons, just in case he changed his aim!!

Feminism: Burning Bras or Burning Bridges

Ruth D wrote quite a blogg, and this is but a small cut from it. Me~I am fortunate in that none of my friends have been raped. Would it piss me off? That would not be the emotion Id have. Would I be scared? No. Pinning rape on the male gender is not fair, any more than saying women ask for it is fair. Would I be pissed off if the men were not given an appropriate sentence for rape? Yes. Would I be pissed of if men were blamed for rape they didnt commit ( Duke Lacrosse team)? Yes.

I liked Ruths view, and took comfort in her realization that not all men are rapists. I am unfortunately a little too familiar with rape, and at that I am not even close. I had a student employee once, who was also a dorm Resident Administrator. In the second roll, she had a student come in early one morning that had been raped. She spent the night at the hospital with that student, and missed her early morning work assignment with me. She was afraid she had blown her job with me(This was a student that NEVER missed an assignment so I was making panicked calls to her dorm room and cell phone, trying to find out if she was OK).

Impacting her job was about the farthest thing from being a concern on my part. When she did make it in, we talked at length, trying to ease her fears, fears of her job, and fears of rape, and she was just the friend of the victim, not the victim. But she had had to call the parents and tell them about their daughter, and wait for them at the hospital, and it surely was haunting her. Heck that was 8 years ago, and I am still tearing up thinking about it.

Rape is of course the pinnacle of all Sexual Harassment Crimes. Nobody likes a rapist, nobody I know of thinks they should have ANY rights at all.

Another of my pet peeves is the situation with the Duke Lacrosse team. These men, along with most of their law abiding, women respecting brethren, are defenseless under the present laws. But that is yet another story.

Dinosaurs are well-known and well-loved by children of all ages, but the name still means different things to different people. While that is true that dinosaurs were real and live animals that lived in most regions of the world yet died out 65 million years ago, there is still a lot of doubt surrounding their nature and their ways of life since no man has ever seen a living dinosaur. There is also little proof that dinosaurs lived with or were tamed by our prehistoric ancestors, contrary to what is shown in some TV shows and comic strips. We only know of their existence by their remains, usually documented in bones, either found as complete skeletons or separately. We have also found their footprints in rock, as well as some eggs embedded in them. Most of the bigger dinosaur specimens have now been collected and displayed in larger museums.

Who were these big, amazing animals who walked the earth? Dinosaurs are commonly accepted as the larger species that lived in what is now known as the Age of Reptiles, which was about more than 200 million years ago. It is estimated that the dinosaur age lasted for some 165 million years, but this figure does not mean that individual dinosaurs lived very long lives. Most scientists still believe that their life spans were no longer than those of the large game animals that exist in Africa today. As reptiles, dinosaurs had cold blood and scaly skins. The female of the species laid eggs on dry land. Like our reptiles today, the lives of dinosaurs were lived in a much slower manner than warm-blooded mammals. Their food requirements would probably equal those of large cold-blooded animals we have today.

The name "reptile" comes from the Latin verb that means "to creep". However, our snakes and lizards have not fired our imaginations as dinosaurs have. Why do dinosaurs arouse such interest? For starters, a simple answer would be that many dinosaurs were very, very large. Their size alone would inspire a lot of awe. Also, they are not like modern reptiles because many of them ran on hind legs. Some dinosaurs even climbed trees. Other dinosaurs floated in swamps and others viciously attacked live animals. The name "dinosauria" was given in 1841 by Richard Owen, a British anatomist. He said that he made the name up from the Greek words that meant "fearfully great lizards". Modern science has proven that many of the dinosaurs were not as fearfully large as we once imagined and that most of them were actually quite small. So the word "dinosauria" is technically out of date, but it is continued to be used in the common form as the word "dinosaur".

Dinosaurs were land-living reptiles and inhabited rivers, cakes and swamps. They were divided into flesh eaters and plant eaters. Some of them walked on to hind legs, while others walk on all fours. Most species had scaly skins, but some had prominent bone plates on the body or even had heavily armored heads. The origin of dinosaurs has been attributed to a small reptile known as a "pseudosuchia" or a kind of "false crocodile". Often, such creatures were only 2 feet long and half of their bodies were made up by the tail alone. The larger dinosaurs are said to have evolved from one or more of these little false crocodiles. Even the flying reptiles, or pterodactyls, have been connected to the small reptiles.

There is still some doubt surrounding as to when the first recognizable dinosaur bones were officially discovered. Dinosaur footprints have been found by many people all over the world at many times and most of these findings are yet to be documented. Yet, the first complete dinosaur skeleton may have the one excavated in New Jersey toward the end of the 1700s. These bones are still available for examination and identification. Another step was found in the early 1800s and is now all seen in the British Museum of Natural History in London. Since then, many dinosaur species have been discovered in great numbers and in greater forms, especially in Africa, Australia, France, Argentina and Portugal.

Satellite Radio Its here! Satellite radio is a new service being offered by two companies, XM Satellite Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio. Both companies are offering over 100 channels of streaming music and entertainment. High quality sound is achieved through the use of satellites orbiting high above. Satellite radio is commercial free and free from regulations by federal committees. The impossible, is now possible, hearing the same radio station across North America and from coast to coast. All made possible by XM satellite radio and Sirius satellite radio.

Normal radio has been around for decades and is part of many peoples lifestyle. This is changing. Regular radio is monitored and regulated by the Federal Communications Commission, whom has fined several radio stations and media companies within the last 3-4 years. The FCC has only fined radio stations a maximum of $27,500 per show no matter how man profanities were aired.

Recently the FCC has been upping the ante and in conjunction with Congress has decided to raise the fine up to $500,000 per incident per station (Potter). A slap on the wrist has turned into a business-changing event. Sexually explicit comments by Bubba the Love Sponge and Howard Stern could get a station in trouble no doubt about it. Clear Channel Radio dropped both shock jocks this year after being hit with record fines.(Potter) Recently Howard Stern has made a move to Sirius Satellite Radio in an effort to preserve his career and free speech. Consumers are reaching towards satellite radio as a way to hear unregulated news and content.

Recently XM Satellite Radio has claimed to have over 3 million subscribers paying $9.99 per month and Sirius claims to have over 1.3 million customers paying $12.95 per month. Many of those customers pay an additional $2.99 per month for premium content such as the upcoming Howard Stern Show.

Several normal radio stations and media outlets are realizing the potential to get their message across in a broad fashion. XM has launched a morning show, which is hosted by Bob Edwards, whom was fired earlier this year by National Public Radio. "The Bob Edwards Show" will air on a public satellite radio channel that also features news and programs from Public Radio International, among others. Sirius has its own public radio channel carrying NPR programs. Consumers and companies are demanding free speech and it seems that satellite radio is the vehicle.

XM Satellite Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio have designed satellite broadcast systems that differ but they achieve the same high quality of satellite radio. A milestone of this success is the fact that satellite radio signals that are available across the United States and into Mexico and Canada. Rock and Roll No its not a genre any more! XM Satellite Radio has two satellites named Rock and Roll, which remain in parallel geostationary orbit to provide radio coverage throughout the United States. Sirius Satellite Radio has chose to use three satellites in an inclined elliptical orbit. This configuration provides 16 hours per satellite of signal, which gives a great redundancy if any satellite were to fail. Playing it smart, Sirius and XM both have spare satellites, which can be called on in a moments notice if needed.

XM satellite radio and Sirius satellite radio have Earth based broadcast stations that are used to send up information to the satellites, which is then dispersed through out the globe. Sirius and XM both have disk jockeys that manage, create and program music which is then sent up to the satellites. The information is then taken in by the satellites and sent through a rebroadcast of the streams to earth. The Major advantage of this is that, unlike earth-based radio stations whose signals reach listeners 150 miles away, satellite radio signals have a huge reach, and are receivable anywhere within the continental United States and hundreds of miles in each direction of the borders. Satellite Radio is growing to become a worldwide network and offerings are growing throughout the world. XM satellite radio and Sirius satellite radio are making it happen.

Unregulated Satellite Radio is the answer for free speech in a government regulated airwaves arena. Not only can listeners hear unbiased information but also they can listen to it anywhere in the United States. Media giants are jumping to get the piece of the pie regarding satellite radio, as the new wave of the future is satellite radio.

George Washington is a much-admired person in many respects. As the first president of the United States, he set the course upon which the current three-branch system of federal government is based. George Washington is perhaps the one person who can most claim the title of Founding Father.

George Washington was born on February 22, 1732 in Virginia. He was the son of well off plantation owner and spent his you in relative comfort. During his youth, the British Empire ruled the 13 colonies. Despite what you might assume, he was hardly a revolutionary and his stated goal was to become an officer in the British Army! Obviously, that goal never came to fruition.

As George Washington grew into adulthood, he became an expert surveyor of land. He worked in what was then called the American West and purchased vast tracts of land with other family members. He eventually owned over 56 thousand acres.

In 1752, George Washington joined the Virginia militia. He quickly became an officer and played a pivotal part in the French and Indian War. The French had moved into the Ohio Valley, which aggravated the British to no end. Washington was given the task of telling the French to leave the territory. When they refused, Washington suggested a fort be built and his superiors agreed.

As the fort was being built, Washington was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel and given the task of defending it. Leading 159 men, he was victorious in minor skirmishes. Instead of being promoted to an officer position in the British Army, he was told no colonial could attain the position. Bitter, Washington resigned and the French turned the tide.

Desperate to turn the tide, the British Governor of Virginia reinstated George Washington by appointing him Commander of all the Colonial forces. Within three years, the French were defeated and Washington was famous. He married Martha Curtis in 1959, but they never had any children.

By the 1760s, George Washington had retired from the military and entered politics. He was a member of the Virginia legislature and a major critic of the British. In 1770, Washington began advocating forceful resistance to British rule.

In 1775, the colonies formed a Continental Congress to address the conflict with the British. George Washington was elected Commander of all colonial forces. War had already broken out in Massachusetts. Washington and his troops soon joined and the British were defeated in Boston in 1776. By summer, however, the British has sent more troops and defeated the colonial forces on numerous occasions.

Facing total defeat and a lack of money, George Washington did an amazing thing. He rallied his rag tag colonial forces and paid their wages out of his own finances. By late December of 1776, the colonial forces were starting to turn the tide against the British. After more victories in 1777, the French offered their support. It took a few years to arrive, but Washington was eventually able to completely defeat the British. In 1781, the British surrendered much of the east coast. In 1783, a treaty was signed granting the colonies their independence.

On February 4, 1789, George Washington was elected the first President of the United States of America with John Adams as vice president. As the first president, he put in place many precedents and traditions including:

1. Being referred to as Mr. President.

2. Refused to be declared King.

3. The creation of an inaugural event and ball.

4. Swearing on a bible when taking the oath of president.

5. Moving the capital to Washington, D.C.

6. Agreeing to the passage of the Bill of Rights.

7. Proclaimed the neutrality of the United States in all international conflicts.

In 1792, President Washington ran for re-election and was unopposed. He left office in March 1797. On December 14, 1799, he died of pneumonia on his Virginia plantation.

If youve been in our business a while and have stuck with it to no avail then youre most likely very passionate about your WHY. Your WHY is the reason youre here in the first place. Your WHY is your dream, your motivation for striving towards financial freedom. What can financial freedom do for you, for your family, for your health and for your Life? There are hundreds maybe thousands of different reasons WHY people like you choose to pursue an independent entrepreneurial business to achieve financial success.

Maybe youre one of those people who really hate their J-O-B, most people that have a J-O-B do hate it theyd much rather be doing something else. However, they continue to do the same thing every day going to their J-O-B that they hate because they feel they have to. Theyre waiting for a miracle, like something is going to miraculously get better or change even though they change absolutely nothing about what theyre doing. Maybe one day Ill get that raise or that promotion, maybe so in so will quit then I can get her office and things will be much better then. Would they really? Would things be much better even if by the slightest chance I did get that promotion? Well, in reality #1 most likely youre never going to get that promotion in the first place and #2 even if you did get it its still a J-O-B that runs and controls your life. And let us not forget when cutbacks roll around (and they will) its always the middle man thats out.

Wow now that was depressing! The hating your J-O-B scenario is an example of pain. We are all looking to accomplish one of two things, either gain pleasure or avoid pain. So lets talk about something not so painful, a WHY scenario thats centered around gaining pleasure. I call this the Wouldnt it be nice scenario.

Wouldnt it be nice to travel, see places youve never but always wanted to see? Wouldnt it be nice to go wherever you wanted whenever you wanted and not have to worry about how youre going to pay for it, or how many vacation days you have saved up because you cant afford to miss work? Wouldnt it be nice to have the house youve always dreamed of raising your family in and with that, an unlimited amount of time to spend there with them as well? Wouldnt it be nice to have that perfect health and perfect body that you know you could have if you had the time and could afford the right foods and the gym and a personal trainer? Wouldnt it be nice to have that car youve always longed to drive mach 10 with your hair on fire? But most importantly, wouldnt it be nice to have your ultimate freedom and peace of mind that you are in control and can have or change anything in your life that you desire? Youre WHY could be any of these or any other WHY your heart burns for.

So this is what Im talking about when I say MLM HAVE YOU ACCOMPLISHED YOUR DREAM YET? Those of you who have been not so successful with your MLM opportunity so far (or at least not as successful as you believe you can be) know disappointment and frustration. Youve seen your WHY, you know its out there and it is possible. There are hundreds even thousands of people youve talked to them, youve listened to them, you read their books, you listen to their CDs, youve studied them they have become masters of their lives and absolute achievers of their WHYs. You know you can do it too; after all you already have the vehicle to do it (your business opportunity) you just need to know how to drive the darn thing to win the race.

This is the billion dollar question; I have the tools, now can you tell me how to build it? Truth be told not every business plan, blue print or duplicable system will work for everyone (no matter how good it is). You have to find your system. The one that works for you, if youre the type of person that thinks outside of the box then find a system for people that think outside of the box! So we all know and have been through the Old School MLM system that says:

1)Talk to everyone you know, have known, meet and can find and tell them about your business and/or product
2)Make lists of people you know, people that need your product, people you want to work with etc. (use memory joggers) AND CALL THEM
3)Buy Leads
4)Cold Call Unsuspecting Prospects

UGH! Ok, get the picture. Maybe that will work for some people (and it has very successfully) but have to face it its not going to work for everyone. And if you think youre the only one that it wont work for, that youre just not meant to have your WHY think again. I knew it wasnt working for me. I didnt want to continue to waste my time getting a bunch of people saying no or avoiding me because they thought I was going to try to sell them. Feels like a real slap in the face especially from your friends and family. And you know frankly its just not who I am or the way I work. I knew I wanted to work smarter not harder and do it in a way I felt good about. And yes it exists! I ventured away from the centuries old techniques that my upline was drilling down every day. I started doing my own research, my own thinking and increasing my knowledge of all the possible ways people have come up with to make a serious residual income with their MLM business. Every day was and still is a new adventure, a wealth of knowledge right at my fingertips. If youve been wondering if theres another way like I was..THERE IS!

Here it is, this is the road less traveled, this is the thinking outside of the box, and this is for those of you who are looking for an alternative to what hasnt been working so far

Whatever you find does or doesnt work for you one thing remains DONT EVER GIVE UP!

Another area in the material world is space exploration. Well probe the planets more extensively, and go well beyond our highest expectations. For me, Mars will be the planet of my lifetime. But oh, what a planet it is; full of exciting possibilities; water, life, and new natural resources? Were getting up close and personal with the red planet and all sorts of data will be coming back to us; well know our cousin in the solar system.

To accomplish more discovery, the latest technology includes asteroid mining; space blimps with artificial muscles; rocket-powered planes; space dust detectors; elephant trunk devices for lunar exploration; mechanic satellites; robotic balloons, earth-orbit rescue vehicles; space tugboats; anti-matter sails; and space elevators. The list continues to grow as innovation moves through this science at a rapid clip.

The material world is on a roll at lightening speed; touching our lives with the promise of a dazzling tomorrow.

If these new technologies are part of the dawn, then we should look toward the sun; and that, my friend is Material Science. Introduction
Libraries are the soul of any research or academic institution. They form the most vital forum of education, especially in the field of technical education. Due to the rapid pace of development taking place in various fields of science and technology (S and T) it become imperative for the libraries to remain up-to-date with the latest advances in technology so that the dissemination of information becomes efficient, quick, feasible, economic, accessible and useful.

The utility of a library depends largely on its collection. Therefore, it is very important that utmost care should be taken to select and maintain a good and strong collection of documents such as books, periodicals, hand books, reference books, dictionaries, directories, encyclopedias and various other related information. Building and developing a library collection able to meet the needs of users, such as scientists, students, research scholars and others adequately is a major task of a good library. The quality of services provided and the satisfaction of the users depend a great deal upon the kinds of collections made available. A comprehensive, balanced and up-to-date collection is to have documents of different types in various physical forms to satisfy the informational needs of the users.

The basic aim of a library is to provide efficient services to its users. Therefore, user satisfaction should be the main goal of a good librarian. This goal can not be achieved unless and until the library management has got a clear idea about the user needs and demands. The library should be well-equipped besides having a good and strong collection of documents. Variety of services should be offered to cater to the needs of its users. Latest and up-to-date technology should be adopted in order to provide better services.

In the modern era of information explosion which has led to the evolution of multidisciplinary domains in the different fields of S and T the user demand and expectations have grown tremendously. In order to meet this challenge the library should be well equipped with the modern tools of information storage and its retrieval so that the right information is made available to the right user at the right place and at the right time.

With the advent of computers and Internet a transformation is taking place in the information infrastructure leading to the development of digital or electronic libraries. The latest advances in the field of information technology, telecommunications, software, networking, multimedia and scanning technology have produced a revolutionary change in the field of library and information technology. Networking technologies have resulted in the creation of virtual or on-line libraries which are immensely popular with the users and proving to be a boon for the society as a whole due to the instant access of information anytime and anywhere in the world. Thus the barriers of time and space have been shattered and the vast world has been reduced into a "global village" where anyone can have immediate access to the information of his/her choice by using the techniques of computer software, networking and scanning technologies.

A digital library may be defined as an electronic version of a traditional library where all the information is stored and preserved in digital form. In a digital library the data accessed includes non-text information such as photographs, drawings, illustrations, works of art; streams of numeric data (satellite information, cosmological data); digitized sound and moving visual images and 3 D representations (holograms) besides traditional text based information.

There are many Allopathic Medical Colleges in Uttar Pradesh where digitization and networking of libraries can give a big boost not only to the enhancement of the quality and standard of services available in the hospitals but also help to a great extent in the promotion of medical studies and research. But the implementation of this process of digitization and networking of libraries depends a great deal upon the role and attitude of the librarians towards this comprehensive process for its success.

Review of literature
Many sources of information both published and unpublished have been consulted to develop a clear concept of the proposed study. It has been observed that the digitization and networking process in the field of library and information science has helped to a great extent in the effective and instant dissemination of right information at right cost at right time to the right user.

OBJECTIVES
The objectives of the proposed study are as follows: -
1) To assess the role and attitude of librarians in the success of the digitization and networking process in the libraries of Allopathic Medical Colleges in U.P.
2) To study the size and nature of collection in the libraries of Allopathic Medical Colleges in U.P.
3) To examine the level of digitization in the libraries of Allopathic Medical Colleges in U.P.
4) To study the methods employed for digitization and networking in the libraries of Allopathic Medical Colleges in U.P.
5) To study the existing library services and facilities offered by the libraries of Allopathic Medical Colleges in U.P.
6) To study the digitization and networking process in the libraries of Allopathic Medical Colleges in U.P.
7) To study the effectiveness and efficiency of the digitization and networking process in the libraries of Allopathic Medical Colleges in U.P.
8) To assess the demand and popularity of the digitization and networking process in the libraries of Allopathic Medical Colleges in U.P.
9) To study the problems and challenges faced by librarians in the process of digitization and networking in the libraries of Allopathic Medical Colleges in U.P.
10) To make suggestions for improvement in the process of digitization and networking in the libraries of Allopathic Medical Colleges in U.P.
11) To discover the limitations in the process of digitization and networking in the libraries of Allopathic Medical Colleges in U.P.

Scope
This study will be based on the survey of the libraries of the Allopathic Medical Colleges in Uttar Pradesh. For this purpose the libraries of only those Allopathic Medical Colleges are included which have been approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI) to run MBBS course of study and entitled to award the degree of MBBS and other degrees related to Allopathic Medicine and Surgery. The names of such Allopathic Medical Colleges selected for the proposed study are given below: -

1. S.N. Medical College, Agra.
2. G.S.V.M. Medical College, Kanpur.
3. Institute of Medical sciences, B.H.U, Varanasi.
4. Moti Lal Nehru Medical College, Allahabad.
5. Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh.
6. L.L.R.M. Medical College, Meerut.
7. Maharani Laxmi Bai Medical College, Jhansi.
8. B.R.D. Medical College, Gorakhpur.
9. Santosh Medical College, Ghaziabad.
10. Sardar Patel Institute of Dental and Medical Sciences, Lucknow.
11. Era Lucknow Medical College, Lucknow.
12. Subharati Medical College, Meerut

HYPOTHESES
A hypothesis may be considered as a tentative generalization of the problem under investigation. It is meant to provide the researcher with an opportunity (prior to the actual data collection) to predict the results of the study. A hypothesis is an expectation about events or a shrewd guess or a prediction of the results of the study.

As hypotheses are predictions, therefore, these are formulated before the collection of data. No hypothesis should be formulated once the data are known.

The following hypotheses have been formulated for the proposed study: -
1) The libraries of the Allopathic Medical Colleges in Uttar Pradesh are having a rich collection of documents.
2) The Allopathic Medical Colleges' Libraries are providing a variety of services to their users.
3) The libraries of the Allopathic Medical Colleges in Uttar Pradesh are facing certain problems.
4) There is an urgent need for the modernization of the libraries of Allopathic Medical Colleges in Uttar Pradesh according to the latest techniques such as digitization and networking of libraries.

Methodology
It is planned to adopt the following method for the completion of the proposed study: -
1) Literature Search: - It shall be done by consulting the vast literature existing on the subject of digitization and networking. For this purpose different books by noted authors as well as journals and seminar papers will be studied thoroughly.
2) Questionnaire: - In order to conduct the proposed study the most important tool for the collection of data is the questionnaire. Therefore, a comprehensive questionnaire shall be designed to collect all the important and relevant data. This questionnaire shall be sent to the librarians of the concerned libraries. After obtaining the filled questionnaire the data shall be analyzed and interpreted according to the objectives of the proposed study.
3) Library Survey: - It is planned to conduct library survey for a systematic collection of data concerning libraries, their activities, operations, staff, use and users, at a given time or over a given period.
4) Interview of Librarians: - In order to collect the accurate data and obtain the views and opinion of the librarians of the concerned libraries it is also proposed to conduct personal interviews of the concerned librarians.

UTILITY OF THE STUDY
The following may be the utilities of the proposed study: -
1) It may be helpful in finding out the problems and difficulties faced by the librarians of the libraries of Allopathic Medical Colleges in Uttar Pradesh.
2) It may be helpful to the concerned authorities in the effective implementation of the digitization and networking process.
3) It may be helpful in finding out the prospects of the adoption digitization and networking process of the libraries of Allopathic Medical Colleges in Uttar Pradesh.
4) It may help in finding out the solution to some of those problems, which are retarding the progress of the digitization and networking process in the libraries.
5) It may be helpful to the libraries of Allopathic Medical Colleges in resource sharing and connecting with each other via networking.
