With a body of a man, but a face of a boy, its not hard to believe how this 19 year old actor has made women fall to their feet with a little glimpse of his smile. Zac Efron was born in San Luis Obispo, California on October 18, 1987 and lived a fairly normal life, until he began taking acting lessons at age 11. From then on Zac Efrons life would never be the same. Quickly he became immersed in theater with his first acting job in Gypsy. He became hooked and after a few more theater roles he made it to the small screen with parts on ER, and The Guardian. He even guest starred in the short lived Summerland which was what really brought him into the spotlight of the teen girls hearts.

Zac Efron had definitely caught the acting bug by this point and was destined to become a star. He was cast in the movie that eventually put him into the big time. High School Musical, a teen movie musical shown on the Disney Channel, became incredibly popular among the teen scene, and with it, so did Zac Efron. As Troy Bolton in the movie, he sure made his mark in the Hollywood crowd as well. Teen girls loved him, and the paparazzi have even called him the Tom Hanks of teenage Hollywood. Zac Efron is considered one of the nicest teen actors in the business right now.

Shortly after High School Musical showed its staying power, he was cast with John Travolta in Hairspray which is out now. He made it to the big screen, and even he says that he isnt ready to leave anytime in the near future. He is also featured in the series of high school musical 2 ringtones. Zac Efron, with his good looks, and his boyish charm, is certainly going to be an actor you will hear a lot more about in the future.
